Erica Assai is a bubbly, quirky, down to earth young woman, who has made her mark on the Caymanian music scene with her hit song SMWY (Si Mi Whine Ya).
She started her singing career later than most, in her early adolescent years. She began working with Miss Janelle Tibbetts (Spark Performing Arts School Owner) who trained her for the NCFA shows as well as the Young Musician of the Year show back in 2013.
Miss Assai moved on to compete in Cayman’s Got Talent later that year and then the Pirate Star Singing Competition the following year. She took home the Gold 🏆for both.
Recently she won a Poinciana award for the catagory “Song of the Year 2017”. She has opened for many international acts such as: OMI,Jamiel, Ky-mani Marley, Diana King, Percy Sledge, Genuine,Olitunji, Voice and Verse Simmonds just to name a few.
Currently, Assai is honing and fine tuning her vocals in preparation for the World Championships of Performing Arts 2018 in the beautiful city of Los Angeles, California. #TeamCayman 🇰🇾
